Digital Painting (February 2025): MYST from Chuang Asia Season 2

Mystic Inscho, known as "Da Sheng" and "MYST," is one of my favorite celebrities and my favorite trainee in Chuang Asia Season 2.

I first saw Mystic when I was watching his interview about the Mysterious Benedict Society TV Series, along with his fellow castmates and friends, Seth B. Carr, Marta Kessler and Emmy deOliveira. That time, I was searching for a headcannon voice actress for one of my Sonic OCs, Bubbles.

Eventually, sometime in early August 2024, I watched The Mysterious Benedict Society. Throughout the whole show, I've been vibing with Reynie Muldoon, whom Mystic played. As a result, Reynie became my favorite character in that show.

I know The Mysterious Benedict Society is no longer on Disney+, but I was able to watch it on YouTube and other online sites where I can watch TV series.

Sometime after watching The Mysterious Benedict Society, I discovered Mystic's piano cover of the show's theme song through his official YouTube channel. Soon after, I checked out his YouTube channel and watched his videos. I enjoyed watching them. One of the videos that excites me the most is his cover of Stay with Me. It's a Japanese song originally performed by Miki Matsubara. Obviously, anything Japanese-related gets me excited, so I decided to check it out. When I heard Mystic singing in Japanese, I started liking him as a real person. The more videos I watch, the more I like him.

As time went on, I got to know Mystic even more, not just in YouTube, but also in Facebook. That time, I listened to his original songs. He did a great job working on them. One of my favorite things about him is his involvement in volleyball. When I saw his Facebook post about him playing volleyball, I was amazed because volleyball is my favorite sport.

Eventually, on early February 2025, I watched Chuang Asia Season 2 because I heard that Mystic is there. In that show, Mystic is known by his stage name as MYST. Right now, I'm waiting for Episode 5. Throughout the whole show, I was even more excited, especially every time I see MYST. I get to witness his moments and his journey to become the star. Some scenes made me laugh while others made me squeal in excitement.

My favorite part so far is Team Attention's performance in Episode 3. The first reason is because MYST is there (obviously). I can feel MYST's energy in his first part. It makes me want to dance. The second reason is because I've heard the song "Attention" from one of the Gacha Life videos my third cousin was watching back when I was an older kid. When I heard the chorus in Team Attention's performance, I suddenly felt familiar about the song. Then, I remembered that I've heard it from one of the Gacha Life videos my third cousin was watching. I've watched Team Attention's performance so many times, to the point where the song got stuck in my head.

Also, I love MYST's outfit and appearance in the "Attention" performance. He looks so cool and different in a good way. He and his teammates in Team Attention also do amazingly.

As a result, when I tried to think of an idea for this month's digital painting, I was in the mood for Chuang Asia Season 2. So I did the digital painting of MYST in his outfit for the "Attention" performance.
