Racing Around the World Digital Painting (May 2025): Shadow and his Black Shot

I was in the middle of sketching Shadow with his Black Shot (Extreme Gear) when I came across the trailer for this year's new Sonic campaign entitled "Racing Around the World." I was a bit hyped about it. Then, I started thinking about whether or not I should celebrate it with my future digital paintings until it's concluded. In the end, I decided to do it.

For this month's digital painting, I had a lot of concepts in my head. I struggled with sketching and rendering the concepts. In the end, I decided to use the sketch of Shadow the Hedgehog with his Black Shot because Racing Around the World doesn't have to involve racing in racecars. It can also involve running, riding on Extreme Gears, swimming, biking, and many more. Another reason is because today is the 5th Anniversary on how I became a Shadow fan. Wow! I can't believe it's been five years! That's crazy! ✨️🤩⭐️😊✨️😁✨️😊⭐️🤩✨️
